Do you want to open a sound without copying and pasting sounds?
Yes, I think this should be included.

Here's the problem: I can't copy and paste sounds from the internet.
The suggestion for version 9.1 and later: Open sound files without having to copy and paste.

Like, add a button called, "Open Sound File..."

If it is later then 9.1 when you add the suggestion, then that's OK.

My problem: I can't copy the sound from QuickTime. However, I can use it for music, but I want it to be a sound.

The suggestion should work... I think.

Sad

If you need an application for copying and editing sounds, try Sound Studio. I use an old version, but it looks like the present one, although crippleware, should be adequate for SQ needs (you don't need to be able to save an edited sound, only to copy it).

I imagine Eric could spend his energy setting up SQ to be able to import aiff, quicktime, mp3, etc. I don't usually bother with sounds, but even I would benefit from having a graphics inporter, able to handle jpg and gif and so on. Internal tools for recording sounds and editing bitmap graphics would also be very nice to have (actually nicer, from my perspective, than importation features). ... but is this really the best use of Eric's time? These things are peripheral to gameplay, and allowing pasted resources allows you to use programs whose authors have put years of effort into them.

I use "ScrapBook" for transferring sounds. Not sure if it works with quicktime yet but it works for system sounds under 6 sec.!!!

What is the variable for "current direction"?
I can't get the arrow on the main screen to move for some reason when I do the "simple if current direction" strategy when the snake is invisible (due to the "snake la" action lists for manually moving the snake). Is there anyway to fix this?

Snake: to make your own sounds, you will need a (hardware) microphone and a utility such as SoundStudio. Record the sound, using the utility and the microphone. Copy it. Paste it into your SQ file.

If you though that the only one I got in play didn't do a very good job... I used the microphone.
